Auctioneer: NQF Level 4: Occupational Certificate: SAQA ID 120670
Who is this qualification for
The Auctioneer qualification will open doors to becoming a certified auctioneer, offering a unique blend of excitement, opportunity, and fulfilment for individuals who thrive in dynamic environments and have a passion for salesmanship and entrepreneurship.
The Property Practitioners Regulatory Authority, known as the PPRA and formerly known as the EAAB, does not allow auctioneers to trade and receive income from any property auction if they are not registered with the PPRA and do not hold a fidelity fund certificate. Every auctioneer must be qualified in this qualification or exempt from it.
Auctioneers work in various settings, including traditional auction houses, online auction platforms, charity events, estate sales, and government auctions. They require a combination of skills, including strong communication, negotiation, and organisational abilities, as well as in-depth knowledge of the items being auctioned and relevant legal regulations.
