How do I complete the course?

You log in to your course and get started. The course materials are accessible online, structured systematically, and presented in a user-friendly format.

Enrolment requirements:

The SAQA pre-requisite for this qualification is that you have a South African ID or residency, and hold an NQF Level 3 qualification, which is equal to a Grade 11.  This qualification is an occupational qualification, and therefore, the candidate must be registered with the PPRA and employed by an estate agency firm once the knowledge and practical exercises are complete.

How do I become a Property Practitioner?

Aspirant candidate property practitioner with no formal qualifications and with no FFC from 1 July 2024:

  • Enroll and complete the OC: NQF4 SAQA ID 118714.
  • Once you have completed the Knowledge and Practical modules, submit valid and certified proof of completion and/or statement of results to the PPRA.
  • Then register and receive your FFC as a candidate and immediately commence with the Workplace module. Which must be completed within 180 days of being issued an FFC.
  • Upon completion, submit a valid and certified proof of completion and statement of results.
  • Once the EISA is completed and the qualification awarded, a candidate becomes eligible to write PDE4.
  • Upon passing PDE4, they become non-principal property practitioners.

How many credits does this qualification hold?

This qualification has 150 credits, which equates to 1500 notional hours (study hours needed to complete the course). SSETA require 30% of the time spent studying to be in the form of face-to-face and to satisfy this need we supply monthly webinars which you must attend.

This course will provide the broad knowledge, skills and values needed in the Property and Real Estate sector. ServicesSETA (SSETA) governs, controls and monitors education standards.  Our real estate industry falls under SSETA Trade and Industry. It is legislated that to become a Property Practitioner, you must be found competent in the outcomes-based NQF Level 4 Real Estate and thereafter the PDE4

  1. Identify and comply with legislative and regulatory frameworks within the property and real estate environment.
  2. Apply the Code of Conduct and ethical business principles.
  3. Develop relationships with internal and/or external clients to build a database for the provision of property and real estate services.
  4. Build brand reputation and develop target market.
  5. Manage the property and real estate function.
  6. Implement sound financial practices to achieve personal and business objectives.

Mentor Sign-Off Sessions

Certain qualifications necessitate a mentor’s endorsement for your submissions. The mentor must either hold Full Status Agent designation with a minimum of three years’ experience or be a Principal Agent. Following the completion of each Learning Unit, your mentor will schedule a session with you. If satisfied with your understanding of the subject matter and your practical application skills, they will approve your mentor report. If you lack an available mentor to endorse your reports, PropAcademy provides Mentor Sign-Off Services for support.
