FiCA

To criminalise terrorism the following Acts have been legislated.  Please note that because they may be amended at any time, we have included the link to the official site.  It is critical that you know these Acts as they form the basis of questions in all assignments and exams.  The Acts included are Financial Intelligence Centre Act 38 of 2001, Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act FAIS, Prevention of Organised Crime Act POCA and Protection of Constitutional Democracy Against Terrorist and Related Activities Act POCDATARA.

Code of Conduct

The Estate Agents Affairs Board Code of Conduct is the ultimate guideline for all estate agents to adhere to throughout their journey in the industry.  Once again it forms the basis of questions in your assignments and PDE exams.  Please compare it to the Institute of Estate Agents South Africa Code of Conduct, both downloads available to you.

The EAAB Schedule of Fees

When you make any payments to the EAAB it is vital that the payment is 100% correct. You need to ensure you use the correct bank account, as they have two. Also ensure the amount you are paying is correct (to the cent), and that each payment is made individually, do not make bulk payments. Lastly your payment reference must be your 7-digit FFC reference number.

The EAAB Exemptions & Exemption Categories

To assess if you are exempt from NQF4 and/or NQF5, download the Equivalency Matrix NQF Level 4 and 5. Read the entire document to understand what is needed to be exempt. Read the “Qualification or skills programme or module” column and determine if your qualification has been listed. If so, read the “Comments” column and understand the terms for being exempt.
