NQF Courses for Estate Agents in South Africa

NQF Level 4 Real Estate
Real Estate legislation requires all Candidates to qualify as Full Status practitioners within 24 months from the date of issue of their Fidelity Fund Certificate (FFC). You must complete your logbook, your NQF4 and your PDE4 within this period. The pre-requisite to qualifying for the NQF4 qualification is to have matric mathematics and a second SA language. If not, we supply these as bridging courses.

NQF Level 4 Real Estate RPL
Recognition of Prior Learning applies to any agent who can prove that they have been active in the industry and believe they are an ideal applicant for RPL. When you apply for this three-month course, you must pass an accreditation quiz. NQF4 in RPL consists of questions that test your industry knowledge and field experience and ask you to provide evidence of your property activities.

Residential Logbook & NQF Level 4 Real Estate Bundled
Once you have determined which NQF course you must complete, it is beneficial to take advantage of our cost-saving combination bundle and buy the Intern Logbook course and the NQF4 Real Estate course as one purchase. You will start with your logbook course and plan to complete it within the first three months. Once done, you will start on your NQF4 course and complete it over six months.

Residential Logbook & RPL4 Real Estate Bundled

NQF Level 4 Fundamental Mathematics
As a pre-requisite to the NQF4 59097 Real Estate qualification, you must have Fundamental Mathematics at the matric or NQF3 level. This six-week fundamental mathematics course is designed as part of the NQF4 59097 and cannot be used for any other application. It is specific to real estate measurement, accounting calculations, and determining statistics for running property surveys.

NQF4 Literacy
Another pre-requisite to the NQF4 59097 Real Estate qualification is that you have passed a second South African language at matric or NQF Level 3. This short six-week bridging course is presented in English and Afrikaans. We hold free interactive webinars where you can participate with queries, group discussions and the like. Literacy must be started once you have completed your NQF4 course.

NQF Level 5 Real Estate
To become a Principal Property Practitioner, you must complete your NQF Level 5 qualification and then your PDE5 exam. The pre-requisite to your NQF5 is to have completed your NQF4 Real Estate ID: 59097. If you are exempt from your NQF5 but do not have Matric mathematics or a second South African language, you will have to complete our short bridging courses for these subjects.

NQF Level 5 Real Estate RPL
Recognition of Prior Learning for NQF5 applies to any full-status property practitioner who has managed an estate agency firm and believes they are a suitable applicant for RPL. To apply for this three-month course, you must pass an accreditation quiz. The course does not supply study guides as by Recognition of Prior Learning, you know and can supply workplace evidence.
NQF Level 6 Facilities Manager
Enter the multi-billion Facilities Management arena where skills are scarce and salaries highly competitive. This two-year course carries 262 SAQA credits at NQF level 6. Once you have completed this course, you will write an exam with the regulatory authority, SAFMA, to earn your certification. The prerequisite to taking on this opportunity is having an NQF4 qualification.

NQF Level 2 New Venture Creation SMME
Are you an emerging entrepreneur fresh out of school, realising that you must acquire business knowledge to be the next emerging tycoon? This twelve-month course has 138 credits which may be used to offset part of a future qualification. Learn how to successfully tender for business opportunities within the public sector and gain management, financial and marketing skills.

NQF Level 4 New Venture Creation
Take that step – start your medium business venture! This incredible twelve-month course offers 149 SAQA credits and will solidify your dreams! Do you want not only to manage but to grow your business? You will need all the skills we offer to achieve tender acquisitions and apply technical business management and strategies. You will be able to not only grow but to sustain your business.
NQF4 Full Qualification
Newcomers to the industry have two years within which to become qualified as a Full Status Agent. Part of this process is to achieve competency in the NQF 4 course. In order to be eligible to take the NQF4 course, the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) requires you to have passed Mathematics and a 2nd South African language at NQF3 level (grade 11). If you do not have these qualifications, don’t panic, PropAcademy have both qualifications available as short easy to follow courses, see below.
NQF4 Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
If you have been a registered agent for several years or are re-entering the industry and the EAAB requires you to have NQF4 in Real Estate, you should apply to complete the NQF4 RPL course. The benefit of this is that you obtain the full NQF4 qualification in half the time. In addition, you do not need to acquire Notional Hours. In order to be eligible to take the NQF4 course, the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) requires you to have passed Mathematics and a 2nd South African language at NQF3 (grade 11). Functional Mathematics and/or Literacy
You must have passed Functional Mathematics and a 2nd South African language at NQF3 (grade 11) or matric level to be eligible for the NQF4 course. If you do not have one or both of these subjects, you should register for Functional Maths and/or Literacy course at the same time as you register for the NQF4 or the NQF4 RPL course. NQF5 Full Qualification
Congratulations on deciding to take responsibility for your journey in real estate by becoming a Principal Property Practitioner. To achieve this status, you must achieve your NQF Level 5 Real Estate qualification.
NQF5 Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
If you have held a Fidelity Fund Certificate at Principal Status, or if you have managed all aspects of an estate agency firm or branch, you may apply to complete your NQF5 as RPL. The benefit of this is that the period of the course is shortened and you do not have to produce Notional Hours.
