The EAAB sent a notice to all estate agents on 26 February 2015 advising that all over 60’s exemption applications will cease as from 30 June 2015, and applications must be received by the Board no later than 31 May 2015. This date has been extended by the EAAB, and they will advise all parties once they stop accepting applications.
To qualify for the grant of the age-based exemption applicants must be 60 years or older, have held a valid fidelity fund certificate for a period of at least five years, currently hold a valid fidelity fund certificate and have no infractions registered against their name at the EAAB.
PropAcademy will assist you through the process of collating administrative documents as well as a portfolio of evidence (PoE) proving your ability as a real estate agent. This process should take no longer than eight weeks whereafter we will assist you in submitting your PoE and arranging your personal interview with the EAAB.
Further to our (various) conversations yesterday, my business partner and I would just like to thank you sincerely for your very helpful assistance. We had been trying to confirm the situation around the over-60’s exemption via the EAAB website and by calling them for days with no success, and chatting with you has given us a foundation from which to proceed and was a breath of fresh air.
